It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Alig of Donnelsville, Ohio, born in Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on June 30, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Alig and Ida A. Alig (Trauscht); and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Madeline. He is survived by: his wife Maureen (Byrnes); his children, Theresa of Donnelsville, Marilyn Riley (Steven), Dianne Alig Sneed (Gregory) of Springfield, Anne Chirico (Stephen) of Peachtree, GA, Amy of Cincinnati, Liz of Columbus and George T. (Gina) of Union, OH; his grandchildren, Stephen II (Esther), Joshua (Janda), Alan, Amber, Aidan, Gabriella and Alyson; his great grandchildren, Opal, Talia and Stephen III; and his siblings, Frank of Springfield and Anna Laudenslager of Anchorage, AK. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
