He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Cornelius and Agnes Cornelius (Orwig); his siblings, Barbara Davis and Randall Cornelius; and his brothers-in-law, Charles McCleery and Steve Coss.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Beal-Cornelius (Hughes); his children, Richard Jr., Katie, Craig, Sean, Kristin (Jimmy Vennetti), Ryan, Michael (Angie Antonucci) and Ian Cornelius-Rommel; his stepson Wyatt Beal (Dina Rathburn); his granddaughters, Kayli and Emmerson; his siblings, Karen Green, William Cornelius (Cheryl) and Brenda Cornelius (Denny Papic); and his sisters-in-law, Rose Cornelius Bukovina, Colette Westfall (Ed) and Lori Coss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
