He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harry and Beulah E. Bettinger Hesson; and his siblings, Harry Merrill Hesson, Marilyn Jean Heavner and Louise Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Connie A. Houston Hesson; his children, Michael Hesson (Jennifer) of Dexter City, Mark Hesson (Melissa) of Beverly, OH, Cheryl Herlan (Joe) of Dexter City and Amy Crum (Mike) of Caldwell, OH; his grandchildren, Nikki Schott (Jonathan), Leann Clark (Logan), Darren Hesson (Sara), Allison, Megan Hesson, Hannah, Jacob Crum and Alex Herlan; his great grandchildren, Coen, Alden Schott, Landry and Lynslee Clark; and his brother Robert Leland Hesson (Sandra) of Beverly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
