He was predeceased by: his father Paul Scharf. He is survived by: his wife Linda Scharf (Monteith); his daughter Nichole Thompson of Lost Creek, WV; his stepson Wade Guelde of Waldron, MI; his granddaughters, Jessica Coffman, Alicia Upton, Danette Boecker, Dena Guelde, Megan Guelde, Marissa Wagner and Britni Junge; and his sisters, Jean Baden and Stella Scharf. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Flag City Honor Flight, Findlay, Ohio.
