He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray C. Gilbert and Ethel Gilbert (Laureman); his child Camila Sue Gilbert; and his stepdaughter Martha Davis Pfister. He is survived by: his nephews, Steve, Mike and Jeff Lanzer; his wife Clare; his former wife Mary Agnes Howe; his children, Stanley Eugene Gilbert and Hedy Kathleen Nelson (Rocky) of Marysville, OH.; his stepchildren, Dave Pfister (Jill) of Springfield, OH, Ann Morret of Springboro, OH, Neil Pfister (Julie) and Napoleon; his sister Jan Lanzer (Wib); his grandchildren, Robert Gilbert, Ashley Gilbert, Jamie Spencer Bishop (Erik), Chance Nelson (Kelly Slavnik) and Riley Nelson Forry (Jordan); and his great grandchildren, Fynn, Teagan, Callen Bishop and Mason Forry.
