Hildegard Meyer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hildegard Meyer of Deshler, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Bostelman and Alvina Bostelman (Miller); her son Scott Meyer; her stepmother Helen Hurst; her siblings, Walter, Albert, Melvin, Edgar Bostelman and Nettie Homan; and her stepbrother Lawrence Hurst.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Wendt (DeWayne), Denny Meyer (Debra), Susan Reese (Brent) and Michael "Monk" Meyer (Joan); her daughter-in-law Kim Meyer; her grandchildren, Doug Wendt (Stephanie), Brad Wendt (Mary Beth), Katie Kuhn (Andrew), Nicole Wells (Kirt), Ajay Meyer (Emily), Kevin Reese, Kyle Reese (Haley), Tyler Meyer (Cathy), Trent Meyer (Courtney), Taylor Yarnell (Brian), Tori Herzog (Mike), Hillary Kaufman (Anthony) and Heidi Meyer; her stepgrandchildren, Shyanna Vestal (Wes) and Ralph Luna (Shannon); her stepsister Ruth VonDeylen; and her sister-in-law Lois Bostelman. She is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (220 W Elm St, Deshler, OH 43516). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Henry County Cancer Care or Putnam County Hospice.
