He was predeceased by: his parents, Tollie Tackett and Nancy Tackett (England); his daughter Ashley; and his siblings, Myrtle Miller, Inez Bestman, Nellie Miller, Goldie Vogelsong, Tony "Buck" Tackett, Connie Combs, David Tackett and Melvin "Buster" Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Beam; his children, Scott Tackett (Estelle), Tim Byars Tackett, Rob Tackett, Donald Eric Tackett, Jane Tackett and Ryan Tackett (Stacie); his grandchildren, Isaiah Tackett, Cortney Byars, Aaron Byars, Katelyn Fairbanks, Jake Tackett, Kayla Tussing (Doug), Garret Tackett, Autumn Rose Carney, Tyler Tackett, Darin Tackett and Emily Tackett; and his brother Robert Tackett Paul Tackett (Jean). He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren.
