He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Cheney and Marguerite Cheney (Bolyard); his wife Dorothy Taylor; his grandson Bryce Sager; his great grandchild Kase Zuhlsdorf; and his brothers, Jim, Larry, Randy and Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Cheney Jr. (Teresa), Daryl Cheney (Kimberly) and Lora Sager (Carl); and his siblings, Steve, Roger Cheney and Judy Lianos. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
