He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Sterling and Pearl L. Sterling (Miller); his siblings, Don Sterling, Dorothy Long, Alberta Bonifay and Edith Ford; his stepgranddaughter Eva Yoder; and his son-in-law Mark Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Sterling of Dennison; his children, Kathy Shaver of New Philadelphia, Sharon Chambers (Leroy) of Dennison, Rhonda Davis of Tuscarawas, Melanie Kohli (Lee) of Dundee and William Sterling (Jackie) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; his stepchildren, Susan Yoder (Randy) of Winesburg, Charles Koppes (Tami) of Midvale and Karl Koppes (Kathy) of Cuyahoga Falls; and his sister Nancy Smith (Gene).
It was Wayne's wish that memorial contributions be directed to either Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, 175 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308, or, Dover Alliance Church, 228 East Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
