He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Hathorn and Leota Hathorn (Brown); his wife Linda Lauer; his brothers, Lyle Hathorn and Major David Hathorn; and his brother-in-law Major Wesley Geddes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Majors Richard, Stefanie Hathorn, Majors William, Brenda Hathorn and Eva R. Geddes; and his sister-in-law Major Alice Hathorn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his church family.
