He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Sr. and Marguerite Wilsterman (Spradling); his sister June; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Maier and Marvin Rennert.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Trexler; his sons, Robert L. Wilsterman (Carla) of Uhrichsville and Andrew Wilsterman (Kait) of Tuscarawas; his grandchildren, Triniti, Robert R. and Eliza; his sister Carol Rennert; his nieces, Melissa Cooper, Laura Pettit, Cheryl Clark, Tammy Shay, Julie Miller and Jill Sutter; his nephew Joe Maier; his brother-in-law Lawrence Trexler; and his friends, Steve Johnson and Nathan Kinsey.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home (26 Grant St, Dennison, OH 44621). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
