She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril "Butch" Hoot and Anita Brown; and her brother Maurice "Mo" Hoot. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Thompson of Canton, Crystal Galpert of Canton, Tressa Gilmore (Bubby) of Deersville and Thomas Bast of Mineral City; her grandchildren, Latrell Hoot, Deon Bankston, Starlene Bankston, Kairi Bast, Aya Bast, Kaylee Steiner, Jacoby Galpert and Chasittie Peterson; and her siblings, Chris Hoot of Canton and Lisa Slagle of East Sparta. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
