He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli E. Eckstein and Rose E. Eckstein (Deem); his wife Peggy Lois Eckstein (Talbott); and his pet Bella. He is survived by: his children, John E. Eckstein Jr. of Dennison, Pam McCoy of Arizona, Lois Dorto (Joe) of Uhrichsville, Mark Eckstein (Carla) of Indiana, Joyce Nedrow of New Philadelphia, Joey Eckstein (Brenda) of Roswell, Melody Nichols (Nick) of Dennison and Tony Eckstein (Michele) of Tuscarawas. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
