He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Knecht and Ida Mae Knecht (Gardner); his stepmother Hannah Von Allmen; his wife JoAnn Knecht (Hunter); his daughter Amy Moore; and his siblings, Betty Pope (Richard), Jim Knecht and Frances Kay Knecht.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Knecht (Kathy), Brian Knecht (Barbara), Michelle May (Jody), Glenn Moore (Mickey) and John Moore; his siblings, Bill Knecht (Ruth), Bonnie Anderson and JoAnn Schaar (David); his sister-in-law Mary Ann Knecht; and his close friends, Danny and Ida Pope. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
