He was predeceased by: his parent Willie D. Peterson; and his siblings, Willie Charles, Willie Pearl and Brenda Grant. He is survived by: his mother Fronie Peterson (Lowery); his pets, Griffey, Charlie Jo and Oscar; his wife Mary Jo; his son Billy Ray Peterson Jr. of Columbus; his grandchild Shawn McMillan (Rasheedah Crawley) of Columbus; his pet Caddy; his niece Shara Watson; and his close friend Todd. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
