He was predeceased by: his father Donald Lee Tinney; his wife Gilda Taye "Taye" (Kauffman); and his uncle Lee Stutler. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Tinney (Pringle) of West Virginia; his children, Nicole Tinney (Josh Haney), Justin Hanson (Joni), Erica Weaver (Rance) and Taina Garbrandt (Forrest Sowards); his grandchildren, Gage Greenwalt, Jeffery Richmond, Tayelynn Garbrandt, Xander Knestaut, Thomas Weaver, Spencer Clark, Mylie Clark, Forrest Sowards Jr., Jostalyn Hunt and Briona Hunt; his great grandchild Delaney Greenwalt; his siblings, Ronald Tinney (Eva) and Donna Ladale Tinney-Pershing; and his niece Heather Calabro.
