He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Witt and Elizabeth Witt (Dickerson); his former wife Kathleen Witt (Finney); and his granddaughter Mattea Witt. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Kay Riley; his siblings, William Witt and Betty Cross (Witt); his children, Jeffery Witt (Charlene), Dean Witt (Melanie), Christopher Witt (Cheryl), Gregory Witt (Rose Ann), Kevin Witt (Pauline) and Deborah Jackman (John); and his stepchildren, Shannon Riley Sullivan, John Riley (Kelle), Todd Riley (Vicki) and Tim Riley (Lisa). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable contributions in Sam's memory be made to Open Door of Delta, 104 Monroe Street, Delta, OH 43515.
