He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew P. Chamberlin and Mildred E. Chamberlin (Dailey); his siblings, Leo Chamberlin, Betty Gearhart and Carol Lear; and his granddaughter Tamra Komisarek.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce E. Chamberlin; his children, Scott Chamberlin (Janis) of Delta, Annette Chamberlin of Wauseon, Andrew Chamberlin (Michele) of Sylvania, Angela Chamberlin (Gary) of Indianapolis, IN and Michael Chamberlin (Dani) of Virginia; his grandsons, Jeremy Chamberlin (Wendy), Zachary Chamberlin (Alyssa), Ian Chamberlin (Alex) and Seth Chamberlin; his grandson-in-law Justin Komisarek; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Komisarek, Hunter Komisarek, Grayson Chamberlin and Emma Chamberlin.
