He was predeceased by: his father Curtis McConkey. He is survived by: his wife Carole McConkey; his children, Kelly Schimmoeller (Scott) of Ypsilanti, MI, James W. McConkey Jr. (Barbara Diaz) of Delta, Connie Francis of Delta, Kathy Zeller (Hank) of Grand Rapids, OH and Brittani Heller (Eric) of Defiance; his grandchildren, Kyle, Mika, Mark, Kip, Nate, Ellyana and Josie; and his great grandchildren, Amora, Lydia and Elena.
