He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Swick and Leona Swick (Molter); his wife Marie (Gerdeman); his siblings, Thomas Swick (Agnes), Robert Swick (Rosie), Helen Clark (Edward) and Margaret Geise (Donald); and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Gerdeman, William Fairfax, Roseann Friedrich (Harold), Lenore Gerdeman and Alice Quinter (Louis).

He is survived by: his children, David V. Swick of Delphos, Dennis Swick (Cathy) of Findlay and Jill Utrup (Chris) of Delphos; his grandchildren, Casey Bevilockway (Joshua), Kelli Hahn (Jason), Craig Swick, Todd Utrup (Roxanne), Stephanie Schmit (Ryan) and Stacey Benton (Michael); his great grandchildren, Whitney, Dalton, Hailey, Tyson, Blake, Aubrey, Jaxson, Logan, Samantha, Robert, Allison and Lillian; his brother James Swick (Barbara) of Lima; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard Gerdeman (Marie) of Ottovlle, Dorothy Lamy (Elton) of Cincinnati, Jane Fairfax of Dayton, Mary Ellen Gerdeman, Joan Ricker (Robert) of Delphos and Marty Gerdeman of Ottoville.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, in keeping with the state order, masks are mandatory at the funeral home and church.
