We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Stephen D. Friend of Delphos, Ohio, born in Van Wert, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Eileen Friend (Kemper); his sister Dolores Friend; and his siblings-in-law, Jim, Dean, Phil Martin and Bonnie Friend.
He is survived by: his father Charles Friend; his wife Ellen L. Friend (Martin); his daughters, Nichole Friend (Jay) of Delphos and Kayla Smith (Caleb) of Delphos; his grandson Elliot; his brother Chris; and his sisters-in-law, Laura Sawmiller (Mike) of Spencerville, Lisa Leis (Lyle) of Lima and Mary Short of Van Wert.
Steve devoted 42 years of his life working at Unverferth Manufacturing in Kalida, OH, retiring early due to COVID complications in 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steve's grandchildren, whom he would love dearly.
