He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Grothouse and Hildagarde Grothouse (Martin); his wife Judith Grothouse (Reddington); his daughter Cynthia 'Cindy Grothouse; his brothers, Richard and Ronald Grothouse; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Miller and Richard Honigford.
He is survived by: his children, Charles 'Chuck' Grothouse (Cindy) of Delphos, James 'Buge' Grothouse (Cathie) of Delphos, Laura 'Cork' Ulm (Jay) of Delphos, Cheryl 'Sis' Ditto (Don) of Delphos, Lynn Brentlinger (Joel) of Nashville, Tennessee and Patsy Denny of Ft. Wayne, IN; his sisters, Agnes Miller of Delphos and Dolores 'Dolly Honigford of Delphos; his sister-in-law Carol Grothouse of Delphos; his grandchildren, Nichole Rode (Brad), Katie Hermiller (Cameron), Courtney Kirk (James), Ashley Etzkorn (Aaron), Wes Ulm, Chris Ulm (Meghan), Andrew Grothouse, Emilee Grothouse, Michael Butler, Nickolas Ditto, Nathan Ditto, Kellen Schomaeker and Abby Brentlinger; and his great grandchildren, Evan, Brooklyn, Jordan, Gwen Rode, Chase, Kohen Hermiller, Callan Kirk, Emmitt, Kara Etzkorn and Ledger Ulm.
