It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Harruff (Delphos, Ohio), born in Spencerville, Ohio, who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloyd S. Harruff and Lona L. Shaffer Harruff; his daughters, Janet Smith and Pam Harruff; his son-in-law Jessie Smith; and his siblings, Hazel Longsworth, Robert Harruff, Doug Harruff and Paul Harruff.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley L. Potts; his daughter Sherry Wieter (James Scott Ditto) of Delphos; his grandchildren, Richard Smith (Sandra) of Oxford, OH., Curt Harruff of Lima, Amanda Miller (Matt) of Spencerville, Beth Stanley (Shaun) of Delphos and Jamie Bruce (Scott) of Wapakoneta; his great grandchildren, Matthew Miller of Spencerville, Logan Miller of Spencerville and Amaya Bruce of Wapakoneta; his siblings, Raymond Harruff (Nancy) of Celina, Vernon Harruff of Chickasatta, OK., Pat Gallimore (Gary) of St. Marys, Albert Harruff of Wapakoneta, Bev Shaner of St. Marys and Carol Mays of Spencerville; and also Leon Wieter of Spencerville.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, there will be private funeral services Saturday afternoon in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with his nephew Bryan Harruff officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
