He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Mays and Nellie Mays (Nichols); his wife Mary Lou Mays (Slater); and his siblings, Otis Mays, Lee Mays, Paul Mays and Violet Estepp.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Mays (Gloria) of Willard, KY, Rickey Mays (Cheryl) of Hardy, KY, Shari Turnwald (Richard) of Van Wert and Chandra Trenkamp of Delphos; his sister Marilyn Blackburn (Charles) of Somerset; his grandchildren, Bryant Trenkamp, Joshua Trenkamp, Jacob Sterling, Nicole Schoeff and Rachel Turnwald; and his great grandchildren, Raya Long, Hayden Webb, Avery Trenkamp, Reagan Trenkamp, Raelynn Sterling, Madelynn Schoeff, Brooklynn Schoeff, Evelyn Sterling and Jayce Sterling.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Weber Funeral Home (1840 E 5th St, Delphos, OH 45833). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
