He was predeceased by: his son Michael Emerson; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Mann and James Nagy. He is survived by: his parents, Franklin Emerson and Evelyn Emerson (Kohler); his spouse Yoshiko Nagamatsu; his daughters, Angela Harding (Kelsey) of Winfield and Erika Illig (David) of Delphos; his daughter-in-law Susan Emerson of Curtice; his sisters, Mary Lou Mann of Hillman, Lynne Nagy of Gibsonburg and Sue Evans of Toledo; and his grandchildren, Jenna Illig, Jacob Emerson, Kristen Illig and Olivia Emerson.
