He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. Harlan and Elizabeth Harlan (Butler); his wife Marjorie Ellen Konst; and his siblings, Nancy Rose, Jane Brown and Carl Harlan.
He is survived by: his children, David Harlan (Lisa) of Delphos and Christina "Tina" Von Holstein of Reading, Ohio; his siblings, Gregory Harlan of Wapak and Rebecca Harlan of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Jacklyn Christian (Ryan), Cynthia Waggamon (Evan) and Megan Harlan; and his great grandchildren, Anastasia Graham and Eleanor Leiendecker.
