He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin A. Kroeger and Lauretta Kroeger (Beckman); his former wife Rose Mary Coward; his sons, David, Frank and Edwin Kroeger; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Warnecke and Lenore Klausing.

He is survived by: his wife Judith Burnett; his children, Michael Kroeger (Christa) of Delphos and Roberta "Robbie" McVicker (Jeffrey) of Colmbus, OH; his sister Janelle Friedrich (Ed); his grandchildren, David, Lauren, Timothy McVicker, Victoria "Tori" Allen (Bryan), Mark Kroeger, Melania, Maddox and Mason Kroeger; and his great grandchild Liam Allen.
