He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buettner and Bertilla Buettner (Rahrig); his wife JoAnn Hilvers; his brothers, Ronald and Denny Buettner; and his sons-in-law, Phil Reindel and Ron Csukker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Jutte (Doug) of Delphos and Gina Csukker of Delphos; his sister Connie Paddubny (Jerry) of Ft. Jennings; and his grandchildren, Lindsy Warnecke (Troy) of Delphos, Shelby Clark (Alex) of Delphos, Jake of Delphos, Ellie of Delphos and Grant Csukker of Delphos.
