He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Augustus and Helen Caroline Bergfeld (O'Neill); his wife Mary Agnes Bergfeld (Kill); and his siblings, Mary Redding, Evelyn Mullins, Caroline Gallmeier, Grace Bergfeld, Patrick Bergfeld and Eugene Bergfeld.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Bergfeld (Chris) of Michigan, Charles Bergfeld (Lisa) of Delphos, Donald Bergfeld (Beth) of Delphos, Nancy Goedde (Edward) of Lima and Linda Bergfeld of California; his sister-in-law Sally Bergfeld; his grandchildren, Michael Bergfeld (Hope), Audrey Lahti (Phil), Bart Bergfeld, Tyler Bergfeld (Tiffany), Jordan Bergfeld (Makenzie), Heather Bergfeld, Ryan Reindel (Stephanie) and Scott Goedde (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Luca, Aria, Gabriel Bergfeld, Grady Bergfeld, Benjamin Bergfeld, Mia, Izzy Reindel, Emmy Jayne, Parker and Carson Goedde.
