She was predeceased by: her parents, S. York Powell and Rubene Powell (Laemmerman); her son Steven Metzger; her sisters, Ruby Snow and Janis Burkholder; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Teman and Paul Teman.
She is survived by: her husband Kenny Metzger; her daughter Laura Otto of Grand Rapids, MI; her grandchildren, Kara Thornburg (James) of Grand Rapids, MI, Eric Otto of Detroit, MI, Patrick Otto of Portland, ME, Haley, Hannah Metzger of Denver, CO and Daniel Yost (Casey) of Boston, MA; and her great grandchildren, Mason Thornburg, Henrik Otto, Olive Yost and Noah Beveridge.
