He was predeceased by: his father Anthony Goergens; his brothers, Dave Goergens (Mildred 'Milly) and Don Goergens; and his stepmother Rita Goergens. He is survived by: his wife Catherine A. Goergens (Haynes); his children, Gregory Goergens (Janice) of Kalida, Thomas Goergens (Mary) of Delphos and Jane Selhorst (Joseph) of Kalida; his grandchildren, Amber Allen (Tyler), Nicholas Goergens (Katie), Sara Haman (Steven), Chad Goergens (Morgan), Adam Goergens, Erik Selhorst (Amy) and Lauryn Remlinger (Cameron); his brothers, Jim Goergens of Elida and Ron Goergens (Jane) of Delphos; and his stepbrother Don Dunbar (Marilyn). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
