He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Otte Leyda; his children, Carol Hasseman (Jerrod) of Mineral City, OH, Mike Leyda (Deb Canfield) of Bolivar, OH and Nancy Davis of Toronto, OH; and his siblings, Tom Leyda (Janice) of Waynesburg, OH, Roger Leyda of Mansfield, OH, Diane Scott of Wooster, OH, Linda Martindale of Buckeye Lake, OH, Beverly Neuman (Gary) of East Sparta, OH and Sue Fiddler of Sandyville, OH.. He is also survived by Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and a large family of nieces and nephews.
