He is survived by: his wife Rosetta Simpkins (Ross); his sons, Zachary R. Simpkins, William K. Simpkins (Skyler), Joseph A. Simpkins and Lucas H. Simpkins; and his sisters, Brenda Brown-Mathis and Linda Simpkins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
