He was predeceased by: his brother Richard "Bud" Chambers; and also Betty. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Thomas; his daughter Emily Lucille of South Carolina; his sisters, Violet Shanklin and Annette Nelson; and his sons, Bryan Chambers (Martha) of Arizona and Fletcher Chambers (Marie) of Utah. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
