He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ned Carmean and Norma Carmean; his brother Jeff; his wife Julie Hudgins Carmean; his children, Heather Carmean Young and Joshua Carmean; his brother Jeffrey Carmean; his sister-in-law Rosemary Carmean; his parents-in-law, Carol Hudgins Mitchell, Ray Mitchell and Judy Hudgins; his nieces and nephews, Kelei Mitchell, Leigh Carmean, Marika Mitchell, David Carmean and Hunter Hudgins; his mother-in-law Colis Hudgins; his brother Lee; his father-in-law Bob Hudgins; and also, Jason Young, Mary Carmean, Braeden Young, Grayson Young, Tana Young and Lincoln Carmean.

In lieu of flowers, Gary requested memorial gifts be given to the church.
