She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Reece and Donna Seidle Reece; her siblings, Janice, Grace, Elbert Jr. and Melody; and her granddaughter Kaitlin.

She is survived by: her significant other Evariste "Duke" Faucher of Georgia; her daughters, Debbie Reading (Tim) of Virginia, Bambi DeMeo (Mike) of Florida, Heidi Boltz (Doug) of Hilliard, Candi Cook of Worthington and Wendi Kay (Greg Menssen) of Ostrander; and her grandchildren, Jarrod (Melanie), Matthew (Laura), Rebecca, Adam, Tommy (Rachel), Josh (Stephanie), Travis (Tanya), Michael, Luke, Brandyn (Austi), Brooke, Heath, Paige, Rachael, Katie (Todo) and Gretchen. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association.

“Joy Cook, was pure “Joy,” and I babysit for Heidi, Candi and Wendi, plus when Joy found out that my Mom taught me to clean house, she hired me to clean her house and paid me $10! She raised “5 Beautiful Daughters,” and I know that she was very proud of them! Keep talking about Joy and all the memories, that you hold in your heart, and let God carry you during this time of grief!”
