He was predeceased by: his parents, Millroy Kanode and Dorothy Mae Kanode (Carrol); and his sister Carolyne Kanode. He is survived by: his spouse Fay Rosalie Kean; his sons, Donald R. Kanode Jr. (Joell) of Pataskala, Christopher L. Kanode (Tonya) of Delaware and Kelly L. Kanode (Amanda) of Delaware, Ohio; his grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Zachary, Micah, Joel and Kaylee; and his siblings, Loren, William Kanode (Ann), Bernice Sherrow and Maxine Allen (James).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center (101 Valleyside Dr, Delaware, OH 43015). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
