He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scaggs and Hazel Scaggs (Neace); and his brothers, John "Peanut" Scaggs and Paul "Lou" Scaggs. He is survived by: his pet Cocoa; his wife Judy; his daughter Amber Murfield (Jason) of Lexington; his stepdaughters, Beth Hightower (Jarrett) of Sunbury and Bonnie Secrest of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Brittany, Kaylee, Nathan, Colton, Kylie and Mackenzie; his great grandchild Evan; and his brothers, Charles and Thomas Scaggs (Susan) of Ostrander. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
