He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Simmons and Esther Robinson Weller. He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Simmons (Adkins); his children, Kurtis L. Simmons (Sandy) and Amanda J. Mays (Corey); and his grandchildren, Austin Simmons, Elise Mays, Rebekah Simmons (Zachary Deaney), Gavin Mays and Curtis "CJ" Simmons.
