He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence C. Gay and Mary E. Gay (Taylor); his former wife Anna May Gay; his brother Eugene; and his half-brother Nathan Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Clark-Gay; his daughters, Deborah Sergent and Pamela Yarnell; his grandsons, Joe Yarnell (Carla), Dan Yarnell (Tracy) and Matt Yarnell (Meghan); and his brother Willis Gay (Sondra) of Boerne, TX.. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
