He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan L. Brentlinger and Alice Marie Brentlinger (Hesser); his children, Tom Dunn and Teresa Couch; his son-in-law Dennis Stevenson; his stepson David Douglas Cushwa; and his siblings, Richard L. Brentlinger, Russell L. Brentlinger, Joyce Nickerson, Judy Phillips, Doris Henry and Linda Kitchen.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Brentlinger (Krouse); his children, Joe Brentlinger (Beth) and Christine Tussing (Alan); his stepchildren, Toni Manger, Teresa Stratton (Tim) and Matthew Cushwa (Misty); his siblings, Gloria Cornell (Paul), Donna Heindel and Max L. Brentlinger (Dorothy); and his pet Chicken "Chicky". He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
