He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Ervin and Elizabeth Ervin (Frederick); his wife Patricia Ann Maxson; his children, Vickie and Johnny Dale; his granddaughter Kelsey Leigh Kauffman; his siblings, Elizabeth Jane Simpson, Merle, Paul and Dale Ervin; and his parents-in-law, Frank, Lois Maxson (Davey) and Dodge Gene.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Kauffman (Richard) and Douglas Bell; and his siblings, Emelia Craig, Marvin Ervin and Carl Ervin. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
