She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Barbara Knott Smith. She is survived by: her husband Michael W. O'Connor; her children, Amanda Valvano (JR) of Centreville, VA and Michael O'Connor (Lynn Trout) of Huntsville, OH; and her granddaughters, Rose, Phoebe, Sylvia O'Connor and Kaidlyn Hines.
