He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tennis and Wamena Dotson (Scott); his sons, Jimmy and Sonny Dotson; and his siblings, Margaret Dotson, Lois Moore, Debbie Samuels and Earmel Dotson.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Dotson; his children, Rodney Dotson (Lisa), Brian Dotson (Shelly), Tommy Dotson and Denise Branham (Danny); his grandchildren, Danny Braham (Brittany), Chelsea Wyan (Kyle), Bradley Dotson, Katie Yates (Matt), Haley Brown (Brandon), Kaleb Dotson, Emilie Dotson and Tyler Dotson (Faith); his great grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Ansley Branham and Shiloh Yates; and his siblings, Patty Miller, Diane Casey (Dennis), Nellie (Doug), Tim Dotson (Cindy), Steve Dotson (Debbie) and David Dotson (Ernie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
