He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Polasek and Bessie Polasek (Sochor); and his great grandchild Xavier Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Polasek (Short); his children, Ben Polasek (Susan) and Jodi Barnes (Rodney); his grandchildren, Kantrell Hicks, Kiara Hicks (John Fugate) and Reagan Polasek (Ciera Black); and his brother Robert Polasek.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Mennonite Church (300 Short-Buehrer Rd, Archbold, OH 43502).
