He was predeceased by: his father William Hicks; his stepfather Allen Johnson; his son Edward Wagner; and his brothers, Todd Ayers and Ronald Steel.
He is survived by: his mother Linda Johnson (Wagner) of Defiance; his children, Victoria Powell of Garrett, IN, Cynthia Wagner of Defiance, Patience Wagner of Evansport, OH, Bonnie Marshall of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brianna Marshall of Defiance and Damon Wagner of Defiance; his grandchildren, Xavier, Drake, Blayde, Jacob, Alexander, Faith and Oaklynn; and his siblings, Carla Gick of Angola, IN, Blain Ayers of Mt. Vernon, KY and Tycen Jones of Stanton, TX.. He is also survived by his family and many good friends.
