He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elwood and Jean Elberson (Pressler); his siblings, Terry Elberson (Bonnie), Carol Sutherland (Michael), Michael Elberson (Julie), Mary Hetz (Mark) and Karen Tubbs (Joe); his wife Joanie Elberson; his children, Thomas Elberson Jr. (Mary Beth), Matthew Elberson (Jennifer), Mary Hawkes (Dennis) and Jill Dempsey (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Kate, Finley, Michael, Clara, Annie, Jack, Matthew, Dylan and Grace.

A longtime aviation enthusiast, he was a licensed pilot and last spring flew with his grandson, also a pilot, around his granddaughter's commencement at Purdue University, which was guest restricted due to COVID-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Michael's, Parish Center Building Fund are appreciated.
