It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen D. Depew of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Steven A. Depew; his grandparents, Bernard and Irene Schudel; his niece Mattie Jo Cameron; and his stepgrandmother Carolyn Gamby.
He is survived by: his mother Lucinda R. Depew (Schudel); his children, Mercedes Depew of Bryan and Matthew Johns of Bryan; his grandchildren, Paisley and Jayden Layman; his siblings, Laura Batanian (Jon) of Toledo, Scott Depew (Debbie) of Defiance, Tammy Schlachter (Christopher) of Toledo, Bob Cameron (Melanie) of Defiance, Bridgett Mundy (Jason) of Clyde and Rich Gamby (Amy) of Wauseon; and his stepfather Richard Gamby of Defiance.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
