He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sauber and Catherine Sauber (Schindler); and his siblings, Mary Arend, Gertie Arbogast, Joe and Kenny Sauber.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sauber of Defiance; his children, Robert Sauber (Sheila) of Defiance, Edmund Sauber (Julie) of Defiance, Raymond Sauber (Stacy) of Defiance, Susan Richey (Gary) of Defiance and Annette Tebbe (David) of Ft. Wayne, IN; and his siblings, Art Sauber (Carol) of Defiance, Tom Sauber of Fayette, Fred Sauber (Denise) of Archbold, Don Sauber (Karen) of Defiance and Bernie Florence of Defiance. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Catholic Church.
