We bid farewell to Rex E. Veitch Jr. of Defiance, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 7, 2025 at the age of 70. Rex touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex E. and Louise A. Veitch Sr. (McLean); his brothers, Michael Veitch and Eugene "Butch" Veitch; and his stepson Gregory Vizina.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Van Wert (Kuhn) of Defiance; his pet Blaze; his children, Rex Alan Veitch (Nichole) of Wolverine, Jason Veitch (Jessica) of Farmington Hills and Amber Moir (Jack) of Afton, Michigan; his grandchildren, Makaya Veitch (Trevor Saunders), Katelyn Smith (Connor), Riley, Evan, Brooklyn, Dylan, Blake and Kallie; his great grandchildren, Easton and Case; and his sisters, Susan Johnston (Geniene Boyer) of Toledo, Monalee Miles (John) of Deltona, Florida and Maria "Toody" Newman (Jeff) of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Elara Caring Hospice or to Lewy Body Dementia Association.
